I think this is a “gem” pet shop! The owner is super helpful and friendly. I found pet brands that I have never seen before and are super healthy and environmentally friendly. It is far from my house but the have an online shop 😉

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Some places are shops. Pet Emporium is an experience. First I walked in four years ago, by chance, and ever since then this tiny store on Tsaar Peterstraat has lived in my memory like a small, warm light. This week I finally returned with my dog Jazy-Blue and within seconds it felt like a celebration as Jazy was spoiled the whole time like she had her birthday 😊 What makes this place so special is the intention behind everything. Nothing here is random. Every bag of food, every toy, every accessory has been chosen with knowledge, care, and a deep respect for animal wellbeing. Elisa doesn’t just sell products, she understands them. You can feel how much she thinks about what is truly good for the animals. And yet it never feels serious or clinical, it’s joyful, colourful, full of charm. I kept telling I had to leave, at least ten times… and then I would discover something new and stay a little longer. Again. And again. Years ago I even found insect-based kibble here and carried it all the way to Suriname for my opossum rehab, that’s how unique her selection four years ago already was and is. In a world of big, anonymous pet stores, this shop is something rare: personal, warm, deeply knowledgeable, and genuinely kind. We were welcomed like old friends. We walked out with beautiful things to test, a lovely keychain, and the unmistakable feeling that animals truly come first here. Pet Emporium is not just one of my favourite pet shops, it’s a place that makes you happy the moment you step inside. Thank you, Elisa, for creating something so special for us and our fur kids. I’m already looking forward to the next visit ✨♥️🐾

I had the best time at this store! I found all I was looking for and more. Everything suits my iggy perfectly, and she loves the toys too. Also have food samples! I loved speaking with the owner about her dogs and the items she stocks. She's passionate about her dogs and so am I! It was a great experience and I'd recommend to anyone.

This place is just delightful! My husband and I were visiting Amsterdam from Canada and I specifically sought this place out. I was looking for a high quality leather leash and their products did not disappoint. They have the most beautiful leather leashes from Italy that are incredibly stylish and well made. We ended up getting not only a leash but also a collar with bowtie. The owner helped us pick out the right size and ensured everything was just right. Also having pets with her two dogs was the best since we were missing our own Frenchie back at home. All the products fit our dog perfectly and we couldn’t be happier with our experience in the store. I highly recommend you check this place out.

Lovely, quaint pet store. We visited last month and just happened upon this place. Being dog lovers ourselves, we found Eliza to be very helpful and personable. Will definitely come back on our next trip to Amsterdam.

One of the best pet shops I've ever visited! The range of products is large and very good, the best firms are selected, which you don't often find in pet shops. It is obvious that the owners of the store not only want to sell the goods, but also to leave customers satisfied and fulfill all their wishes. I recommend this place if you like to pamper your pets.

I happened to find this hidden gem by chance, since my cat has being diagnosed with possible food allergy and the veterinarian food prescribed by my vet was not of his tastes (nor mine - very bad smell) I decided to do some research and look for better quality food as opposed to the usual commercial brands that my vet prescribed (Hills or royal canine). I wanted real food no hydrolised food that in the process seems to lose its taste and smell. So I started to do research on ‘novel protein’ food and this is how I found out about the Pet Emporium! This shop is amazing! Not only you can find huge variety of food for both dogs and cats but there is also special diet food as well as ‘single protein’ options. What I love about the store is that the owner has a lot of good brands, many of which are Italian, which made me feel much better considering the fiasco with all other commercial brands. The owner, Elisa, is very friendly and very good at making recommendations. I managed to pick up few tins of new food for Leo and also very nice treats (single protein too!) which Leo has already tried out and loves! Thank you for your help Elisa and also for the extras samples I got which I can’t wait to try out as part of his trial diet.. will keep you posted! 🐾🐾

The staff here are incredibly kind and helpful. I recently purchased a water bowl, and both my cat and dog absolutely love it. The design is not only practical but also very stylish, which makes it a great addition to my home. Also, I’m impressed by the selection of brands they carry — thoughtful, high-quality choices that show the shop really cares about pets and their owners. Definitely a pet store worth recommending!

10/10 experience , we stayed in hotel nearby and decided to stop in to pick up something nice to bring home for our pets. the owner was so friendly asking us what breed any allergies etc and gave us a few freebies for our boys to try!! All we could think about the whole holiday was when we could get home too see the reactions & They loved everything as expected!! We also met a dog called frankie on the walk back from the shop who had just been groomed next door and we shared a treat with her. Thanks for the amazing experience!!

I absolutely love this pet shop! The owner is such a wonderful and kind girl, not only is she super friendly and always ready to help, but she’s also a true animal lover with two dogs of her own. What I admire most is that she supports animal shelters, which says a lot about her heart and dedication. The shop itself is fantastic, fully stocked with high-quality pet food, clothes, accessories, and all kinds of dog supplies. I just bought two dog necklaces here and even had them engraved - they turned out amazing! It’s the perfect place if you want great products, personal service, and the warm feeling of supporting someone who genuinely cares about animals. Highly recommend! 🐾❤️
